The Melting Metropolis team is keen for our research, and our community and public engagement, to inform policy-making on urban climate change. We work with policy-makers and planners, alongside advocacy groups, to help secure healthier and more equitable futures within urban heat islands.

This compendium of stories shares evidence of what it’s like to live with both short-term heatwaves and chronic extreme heat in London. It draws on personal accounts of life in the capital that have been collected by the Melting Metropolis team, the Greater London Authority and Shade the UK.
